And also Corn. Cornz. van. 'smts., subsequently claimed 16 guilders. for house carpenter and therefore his time for that has fully expired and since the place of master carpenter in the place of that ao. passo. has contentedly taken over, because the time expired, then the same is hereby confirmed as master carpenter and added a remuneration of 30 guilders per month, starting from the time that the place as above has taken over, because he is also a good ship's carpenter, and therefore remains committed to repairing and maintaining Comps. vessels; as well as the remaining two years on top of his first commitment to continue the same salary here at the Cape.634
Thus done and resolved at Fort de Goede Hope on the date and year as above.

Ende alsoo Corn. Cornz. van. ‘smts., naderhandt gevordert tot 16 gl. voor huijstimmerman ende mitsdien sijn tijt daervoor heel uijtgedient ende sedert de plaetse van baes timmerman in stede van die ao. passo. vermits tijtsexpiratie is vertrocken, tot contentement heefft waergenomen, soo wordt den selven bij desen tot baes timmerman geconfirmeert ende toegevought een beloningh van 30 gl. maendelijx ingaende van de tijt dat de plaetse als boven heefft waergenomen om dat ook een goet scheepstimmerman is, ende dierhalven verbonden blijfft, Comps. vaertuijgen te repareren ende onderhouden; mitsgaders die resterende 2 jaren aen ende boven sijn eerste verbandt voor de selve gagie hier aen de Caep noch te continueren.634
