English translation

The E. Westerwolt had arrived ashore with his small boat and suggested that, because their long journey from Batavia to this point had reduced their provisions to such an extent that something was necessary to make progress and continue their journey to the Patria. Therefore, the Council, reinforced by His E. and the chief captains of the ship "Gecroonde Leeuw," approved of accommodating the same from the Leeuw, in its essential condition, with 5 barrels of meat, 1/2 aem of olive oil, and 1 barrel of pitch.

With which it is believed that it will be able to stretch and lengthen the journey.

Thus done and resolved in the Fort of Good Hope on the date and year as above.
