On that date, in response to the courteous summons, the E.A. Political Council met to deliberate on the month. tractament of ƒ24 on her E.E. Approval from the Chief of the Island of Mauritius, E.R. Diodati, and his Councillor, one Jan Boekelberg205, former sub-surgeon, landed there with the friguay "Standvastigheid" and replaced the surgeon N.N. van Heel, stating that, following the resignation of the said Chief, he was also absolutely needed there, as a master in sugar-making, and that it was therefore unnecessary that, in accordance with our previous letters, some Chinese were subsequently summoned from Batavia. Op dato so was ingevolge de gusterige gedaane dagvaardinge den E.A.Politiquen Raad vergaderd omme te delibereren over het maandl. tractament van ƒ24 op haar E.E. approbatie bij het opperhoofd des Eijlands Mauritius den E.R.Diodati en sijnen Raad eenen Jan Boekelberg205 onderchirurgijn voorheens, met het freguat de Standvastigheid aldaar angeland en in plaats van den chirurgijn N.N. van Heel gelegt, dat overmits den selven ingevolge het opgeven van ‘t geseide opperhoofd, hij aldaar ook gants benodigd was, als zijnde een mr. in ‘t maaken van suijkeren en dat het oversulx niet nodig was dat ingevolge onse voorheense schrijvens enige Chineesen tendien fine van Batavia ontboden wierden, weshalven bij desen E.A.Politiquen Raade het voors. toegevoegde tractement ook is g’approbeert geworden.
